Here you will find the list of our 14 classes, along with their specifics and aesthetics. Feel free to improvise on the abilities of these classes. The ones listed are simply guidelines. If you do happen to go overboard in the application, one of the moderators will politely ask you to change it before you will be accepted.

The aesthetic variations are more or less mandatory, although we have tried to be very loose in our descriptions. However, the choice of weapons are optional, and are simply the most commonly associated for that class.

The deities listed are purely from Tiadari religion. Traditional Arkeneans do not have Gods. However, it depends on your character's biography whether or not they worship these beings. If an Arkenean is fully devoted to living peacefully on Tiadar, perhaps he or she chooses to worship. Likewise, any Tiadari or -Dyr can choose not to be religious.

Quick Navigaton: Click your class's symbol to quickly access their section of the page.

Beastmaster
  • Note: Only available for Human hybrids! (Noondyrs or Evendyrs)
  • With the use of magical Warhorns, can summon magical beasts Warhorn does not have to be a horn, it can be any type of magical instrument, but for simplicity's sake, it will still be called a "warhorn"
  • Beast does most of the fighting or magic-making
  • Has a strong affinity to animals; can understand their emotions, but can't outright speak and understand them
  • Can heal animals, but uses magical summoned beasts to heal others

Aesthetic Variations: Might look beastial or primal - fangs, for example, or messy hair.

Traditional Weapons: Usually none, but sometimes a bow and arrow

Deity: None.
Because Beastmasters are half human, it is not believed that these people have any deity watching over them. Those born from a Tiadari will typically worship a parent's deity, if any.

Dreamreaper
  • Can enter people's dreams
  • Read emotions
  • Very slight mind-reading capabilities: can pick up feelings and the occasional word
  • Can create illusions by messing with people's minds
  • The strongest of the Dreamreapers can create "Dream Worlds" to trap people in

Aesthetic Variations: Dreamreapers tend to look shamanistic in appearance, with the inclusion of skulls or animal bones/furs in their clothing.

Traditional Weapons: Scythe & hand-to-hand

Deity: Rumessor God of Illusions
Rumessor is portrayed as a blind or blindfolded God, representing the importance of the Inner Eye. Dreamreapers celebrate Rumessor by dancing, singing and playing music in the dark, lightened only by the moon light. At each full moon, they celebrate their god by doing so, reminiscing the blindness of his. Their signs, black markings covering their bodies, are another way to show their loyalty to their god. Not all of the Dreamreapers wear them, but they will always keep something that reminds them of their god near. May it be paintings, sculptures of objects that can show two sides of one things, and many mirrors with engravings. Mirrors are a very important thing to them, because it represents the fact that even if you see, it doesn't mean that what your eyes show is, in fact, the truth.

Earthguider
  • Influence the growth of plants
  • Telepathic movement through magnetism
  • Sometimes causes mild earthquakes when angry
  • Can replenish energy & health from nearby wildlife

Aesthetic Variations: Sometimes an Earthguider's skin might be decorated with bits of crystal. Earthguiders are also the "steampunk" class, and can therefore look Victorian. However, remember that technology does not work in Tiadar - ancient artifacts or old-fashioned machinery should be fine, however.

Traditional Weapons: Lances, knuckle/fist weapons, anything heavy like a hammer...

Deity: Koehan Goddess of Fertility and Life
Koehan, being the Goddess of Fertility, is often associated with Life itself and a foil to the God of Death, Avainro. She is portrayed as many things - dirt, seeds, growing plants, flowers, and even the Earthguider symbol itself. The most noted form of her, however, is young beautiful woman with wide hips, dark skin and green hair. Women of child-bearing age, should they wish for Children, carry a pendant of Koehan, spiritually believing that simply doing this will grant them a baby. Additionally, there's an "Inverse Koehan" that is simply an upside-down Earthguider symbol that many young people wear to avoid pregnancy, and it seem to work 98% of the time.

The festivals in honor of Koehan have nothing to do with pregnancy, but instead it is a celebration of life itself and our gratitude for it. It is marked with a massive dinner every night of the week, with each dinner featuring a different type of meat or vegetable, cooked in 14 different ways.

Firesinger
  • Can control fire
  • Can create fire on a small scale
  • Can create illusions/mirages by heating the air
  • Some fire may have healing properties to burn away toxins

Aesthetic Variations: Most Firesingers have some form of tribal tattoo on their body that they acquire when they come of age.

Traditional Weapons: Twin daggers, bow & arrow

Deity: Mahiat Goddess of War and Battle
In honor of their Goddess Mahiat, the Firesingers decorate their skin with dark harku, a black ink tattoo resembling tribal patterns or flames. It does not necessarily represent "war," but rather ferocity - it reveals the power within them, arguably one of the most destructive of the 14. While Mahiat may be the Goddess of War, much like their tattoos, she is not celebrated as such. She is seen as "victory," or conquering something that might be difficult to accomplish. Tiadar has been in a peaceful state for ages, but Mahiat has never lost her presence in their universe.

The festival of the Firesingers is an exciting time of the year. Not only is the night ablaze with torches, but the rocklands in Shalihn host a circus in honor of the event. It is held at night, due to the extremely hot temperatures of the daytime - and although night in the desert tends to be very cold, the fires from the circus keep everyone toasty warm. One of the most famous of the circus performers are the literal Firesingers. Indeed, the name "Firesinger" became popular after Mahiat singers began to incorporate fire into their singing. Famous entertainers would control the fire based on their voices. These performers not only sing, but dance and perform tricks with fire as well.

Gunslinger
  • Note: Only available for Human hybrids! (Noondyrs or Evendyrs)
  • Very skilled with guns
  • Can dual-wield pistols or even rifles
  • Bullets are made of magical energies will never run out until the user's energy is depleted

Aesthetic Variations: None.

Traditional Weapons: Guns

Deity: None.
Because Gunslingers are half human, it is not believed that these people have any deity watching over them. Those born from a Tiadari will typically worship the parent's deity, if any.

Icedancer
  • Create ice from water, usually in the form of weaponry. Some of the stronger ones can create ice with the water vapor in the air.
  • Breathe frost
  • Strengthen items or even bodies by imbuing them with icy properties
Aesthetic Variations: Their breath is always visible, even in the desert. The Icedancer's deity is the Goddess of Beauty, so these people tend to value good looks above most. On their skin, they have swirls of diamond-like ice decorating their arms and legs, from the frost within their blood.

Traditional Weapons: Spears or scimitars - any curved weapon made from shkar, a tealish metal mined from incredibly strong ice.

Deity: Vonatri Goddess of Beauty
Many shrines are identified by the pressence of white candles and crystal bowls of water/ice/snow. Though prayer is involved, most worship is portrayed through beautiful dances. In fact, "Icedancer" became popular when the Vonatri began entertaining others by dancing on a watery lake, turning the water into ice directly under their feet. After the dance was complete, an intricate design of ice would be left on the top of the lake. The leftover ice is considered a form of art.

The festivals of Icedancers involve alot of solo and group dances, celebrating their beautiful goddess. During these, people string beads or glass and such in their hair and paint their faces and bodies; many wear scanty clothing, so their designs are visible as they dance. Some even go naked. There's much feasting (mostly sweet foods) and trinket selling.

Finally, Icedancers tend to link arms or hold hands with each other just as a symbol of unity among themselves. They also say hello by holding their hand out, palm up.

Lightfinder
  • Able to create & guide light They have this power inbred into them, instead of controlling outside forces
  • Can leave a "residue" of their magic in places to keep them alight Streetlight lanterns are filled with their magic, for example, instead of fire
  • Have fast speed "speed of light"
  • They also have healing capabilities

Aesthetic Variations: They tend to wear anything prismatic, or at least one article that is so - for example, sequins or just sparkling fabric. It catches the light, making them feel protected and empowered, knowing they always have light reflecting off them. Inbred magic might cause these beings to glow.

Traditional Weapons: Metallic, sharp rings called chakrims, but they are large and imbued with your magic light, causing them to glow. They're used in melee range. Lightfinders also use staves.

Deity: Fisethyr Goddess of Truth and Patience
Lightfinders are arguably one of the most religious of the 14 classes. Light can be found anywhere, even during the night, and they find that to be a sign that their Goddess Fisethyr is all-encompassing and constant. Being the Goddess of Truth & Patience, it is her "light" that guides existance into purity. The Temple to the Goddess is located just outside the city in Baelthi - it is surprisingly a very dark place, with absolutely no windows to let in outside light. Instead the Lightfinders must light the temple themselves to pray, bathed in their own Goddess-given powers.

The festival to honor Fisethyr is a beautiful celebration of lights and lanterns during the evening, lighting up the night with their magic. To make it fun for the little ones, there is always one person chosen to be the "deceiver" ~ a dark demon who is impatient and lies (a foil to what Fisethyr stands for). The children will play hide & seek with the demon during the night - one of the few times they're allowed to stay up late. Sometimes the game will involve forms of tag, or the children must chase the demon and beat him. (Childish beats; they don't kill the poor guy!) In any case, it is a time of laughter and delight.

Nightflier
  • Able to camouflage into the night
  • Can blend into the shadows as long as they have direct contact with it
  • They have slight control over gravity, able to make things float

Aesthetic Variations: Tend to wear dark clothing simply to feel more at one with the night.

Traditional Weapons: Bandit / twin knives, crossbow.

Deity: Ladrim God of Mystery and Ladrimme Goddess of the Moon
The Nightfliers worship an androgynous deity that is both a male and a female, somehow shifting between both while also being neither. The male form is called upon at times of great mystery (an enigma himself) and is celebrated through elaborate puzzles. Ladrimme, on the other hand, is the Matron Goddess of the Moon - a motherly figure floating in the night sky. Due to this androgynous and mystic appearance, Nightfliers do not have any specific item that they hold onto in honor of their Deity, except for perhaps the symbol of the Nightfliers itself. They treat Ladrim and Ladrimme as two separate Gods - they tend to be depicted separately as well, with Ladrim a dark mysterious shadow, and Ladrimme a comforting blanket of night enveloping the sky at twilight.

The festivals of the Nightfliers will feature small stalls scattered around the paths of the forest; one selling a variety of masks, one displaying sets of ancient puzzles, one selling sweets and bits of food, and several others. The tenants, however, will always be wearing a black mask hiding their faces. It is also held in complete darkness, usually in the forests of Arivanna where the stars cannot reach through the thick canopy of trees - only their mother Moon can keep watch. Nightfliers will blend in partially with the shadows, never turning back into their full physical forms until the morning.

Peacebringer
  • None. These are the Tiadari who have been born without any magical abilities. Most of the time, Peacebringers are sent for physical training at the Barracks, and become militia or police officers (which thusly named them "peacebringer.") Because they spend most of their time on physical endeavors, including hand-to-hand combat or using weaponry, they are stronger than the other Tiadari.
  • There are also Peacebringers who decide not to train and instead go on to more basic jobs - cooks, seamsters, waiters, etc.

Aesthetic Variations: None.

Traditional Weapons: Hand-to-hand or any kind of weapon.
Note: All Peacebringers go through some form of combat/weapons training during their general education. As a result of this, every Peacebringer, whether a Baker or Police Officer, must have a combat style and/or preferred weapon. Peacebringers that choose to work outside of the general militia/police force may be call upon at any time to serve - and as such, should always keep their combat skills in shape.

Deity: Veryn God of Justice
Most of the Tiadari look down on the Peacebringers because it is believed that they were seemingly not blessed by a Deity, simply because they had no magic. On the contrary, they were blessed by the God of Justice. But because they were not given magic at birth, Peacebringers don't feel the need to be so religous. They recognize Veryn and are appreciative for him giving them life, but because they train their bodies themselves and spend years, sweat, and blood perfecting their bodies, they rely entirely upon themselves instead of Deities.

The Peacebringer festival is more tournament than celebration. Peacebringers are drawn together to honor the God of Justice by testing their abilities in various combat styles and events. It is a celebration of their skills as combatants and weapon specialists, and is mostly secluded from other classes, who are generally not permitted to enter tournaments due to their magical advantages. Consideration has recently been put in to place to discuss a possible non-Peacebringer event among the tournament, or allowing other classes to participate as long as some sort of binding is used to prevent the use of magic during combat.

Runescriber
  • Can inscribe runes into objects to change them The type of item being drawn on can influence the strength of the rune
  • Stronger Runescribers can write runes into the air to conjure items
  • Can heal or make people or things stronger by drawing runes onto bodies or weapons
  • Some runes are able to store power for later uses

Aesthetic Variations: Runescribers tend to have a lot of runes written on their bodies from past instances of healing themselves or otherwise making themselves stronger.

Traditional Weapons: Usually uses a wand to inscribe runes

Deity: Ludeth God of Knowledge
The symbol of Ludeth is held high in the majority of libraries and institutes of education. Many scholars carry a trinket of him around for help in concentration during their studies. There are very little celebrations held for Ludeth, as he is considered to be far above revelry. Instead, simply expanding one's knowledge and experiences in the world is how most Runescribers worship him.

His letters can only be understood by those blessed by him. That is, only Runescribers are able to read and write his magical language. It is quite unlike any other language on Tiadar, Arkenea, or Earth, and impossible to study. Children with his blessing are born with basic universal knowledge of the language, but must study hard throughout their lives in order to become fluent. Even after years and years, its impossible for all Runescribers to become proficient. It takes only a special few to achieve the status of fluency.

Spiritwalker
  • See ghosts
  • Contact the dead
  • Briefly leave body / Astral form powers, such as possession Though it leaves their bodies defenseless..
  • Can poison, slow, or even heal with the use of magical incense

Aesthetic Variations: Tends to not wear vibrant clothing so as to not disrupt the energies around them, and scare away potential spirits.

Traditional Weapons: Long-range weapons such as the rope dart or whips. Can also use special incense to poison or disorient.

Deity: Avainro God of Death
Because Avainro is the God of Death, in the past most Spiritwalkers would hold sacrificial rituals to praise him. Nowadays, while some die-hard Spiritwalkers might sacrifice an animal or two, most will simply burn incense. That being said, the Spiritwalkers in Shalihn make some of the best incense in Tiadar. The term “Spiritwalker” literally means “those who walk with the spirits” and comes from the past when they would walk with spirits and guide them. Some Spiritwalkers still have the job of seeking out lost souls and leading them to where they’re supposed to go.

Unlike most of the clans, a council of 13 elders oversees the Spiritwalker community. Though they have power of the Spiritwalkers, they answer to the king. The High Priest/Priestess bloodline also runs through the council and they are chosen from the Chief’s children. When they grow old enough they are made Chief of the Council and so on.

The Spiritwalker festival is a celebration of the dead. We celebrate the memories of our past ancestors and congratulate them for joining the Gods. These festivals are normally associated with much incense burning. Its believed the prayers are sent up with the incense smoke, far up into the skies for the spirits to hear. They also go on Death Walks periodically, where they walk through cemeteries and bless the dead.

Stormweaver
  • Can control the weather Controlling larger phenomena of weather takes years and years of study and practice, however
  • They are mostly concerned in messing with air pressure and temperature, to differentiate themselves from Windspeakers
  • Lightning generation
  • Mildly static
  • Very fast

Aesthetic Variations: None.

Traditional Weapons: Lances & spears that generally act as lightning rods. Predominantly long weapons.

Deity: Viniten God of Storms
On occasion, Stormweavers hold celebrations in which they create elaborate and colorful storms, making art out of thunder and lightning. Considered one of the rowdiest festivals, it concerns making a lot of noise and movement, filled with dancing, singing, and creating garish weather conditions.

They tend to be competitive with their Windspeaker counterparts ~ indeed, they can both control the wind, but Stormweavers like to show off their knack for static electricity by messing with the pressures in the air around them.

Waterdweller
  • Able to breathe under water
  • Can control water
  • While their above-water vision is not the best, they have almost perfect vision below the water.
  • Have minor healing capabilities; are able to rejuvenate tired bodies

Aesthetic Variations: Some areas of their skin sometimes fade into shimmering scales. Some of them have webbed fingers and toes, or fins sprouting from their heads. Note: Waterdwellers are not mermaids/mermen and cannot transform into such. The fins & webbing are totally optional.

Traditional Weapons: Staves like tridents or swords.

Deity: Sumyth Goddess of the Oceans
Waterdwellers believe just swimming in the oceans of Eilshor is enough to praise their Goddess. From time to time will have a festival to honor their goddess. They will do a sort of under water synchronized swimming, wearing colorful ourtfits making patterns in the water. From far away it will look as if the ocean has a rainbow hue to it. All the while they will also control the ater around them to make a water show, celebrating their goddess and the power she has given to them. When it comes to night they will have many dishes perpared all having to do with something from the ocean. This is like their after party from all their swimming.

Windspeaker
  • Can control the wind on a much larger scale than Stormweavers
  • Can use the wind to hear things from a distance. This varies, depending on how old the person is and whether they've spent time practicing the skill.
  • Can 'fly.' They don't use wings, it's simply the way in which they wrap the wind around themselves. Its very similar to gliding through drafts of wind - traveling long distances requires strength and precision that only resides in older members
  • Can make their weapons sharper through their winds

Aesthetic Variations: Some Windspeakers prefer incorporating feathers into their outfits to show their affinity to the air.

Traditional Weapons: They usually train in the arts of the chakrim (a metallic ring), shurikens, or throwing knives - all used as ranged weapons.

Deity: Kaethar Goddess of the Skies
Kaethar is represented by birds and feathers; Windspeakers tend to wear a lot of feathers in honor of their Goddess. They tend to value their elderly far more than their young, due to the strength and precision required to control winds can only be acquired through age. The young are also taught to respect those who have lived a long time, and to see them as wellsprings of knowledge. Even those who are not part of their class are treated in the same way by most, simply because age equals wisdom and experience.

The festival of the Windspeakers is a stunning affair and takes place over a number of days. During the middle of each day, people will sit in the shade and tell stories. However, when the sun comes up in the morning and then begins to set in the evening, the true fun begins. All adult Windspeakers can 'fly', even if only a little. The oldest ones will rise straight into the sky and begin a pattern of movement above the heads of the other festival goers. While this is going on, the younger Windspeakers will use their powers to send trails of sand up into the air after them. The sands are colored before hand, and they are used to form an intricate pattern in the sky. The eldest of the class will then fly in and around it, rearranging the pattern as they go. It becomes a shifting kaleidoscope of colors and movement. Because it is happening at extreme times of the day, the light of the sun will make the sand glow and sparkle.

...So...humans can't have a class? If so...thats not very fair considering all the classes. If I'm wrong and I'm not reading properly...which could probably be the case please tell me which ones.
